Auditorium Theatre

History

Located on the campus of Southern Utah University, the Auditorium Theatre, completed in 1954, was updated in 2003 with 300 ETC Sensor dimmers and remodeled with new seating, carpet, paint, acoustic and sound system improvements in 2004. The Auditorium features a proscenium stage with curved hydraulic lift thrust with 853 seats in three seating sections (orchestra, mezzanine and balcony). 7 seats on Orchestra level and 2 seats on Mezzanine level offer swing-away aisle panels that increase accessibility and make it easier for disabled patrons to get to their seats and feel included in a natural way that encourages them to participate fully. The backstage area features two large dressing rooms for fifteen people each; private restrooms facilities with shower facilities for performers; and shop facilities.
