Costume Rentals

The Utah Shakespearean Festival has been creating costumes and accessories since 1961. Production Services is now proud to offer professional costumes for theatre companies, schools and universities to rent. We offer the finest in quality of designs, fabrics and construction. By renting costumes, your overall cost is lower and the costumes will not end up collecting dust.

Rental Rates

The rental rates vary and are based on the quantity of costumes and the length of the rental. In addition to the rental fee the Lessee is responsible for insuring and transporting the costumes. Costumes are not available for rental between May 1 - October 1. For availability, rental quote, questions, or to obtain more information please contact us.

Always... Patsy Cline

Always…Patsy Cline is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show is based on a true story about Cline’s friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in l961, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death. Always…Patsy Cline has enjoyed great success all over the United States, including a successful run off-Broadway. The Boy Friend

It is 1926, and at Madame Dubonnet's fashionable finishing school on the French Riviera, love is in the air. Polly, a millionaire's daughter has fallen for Tony, the humble delivery boy. Fearing that Tony will shy away from her society background, she pretends to be a simple working girl. But Polly's boy crazy friends could be about to upset her careful plan... The jazz age lives on in The Boy Friend. The most beloved of British musicals, is a sparkling, tongue-in-cheek, high energy, romantic spoof of 1920's.

Damn Yankees

Damn Yankees is the only successful musical comedy built around the American national pastime of baseball. The baseball story neatly combined with the age-old Faust theme. Damn Yankees is a fast-pace, devilishly clever home-run hit whose all-American subject matter have brought many a sports fan into the theatre. Forever Plaid

Forever Plaid centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. The Plaids are a guaranteed smash, with a program of beloved songs and delightful patter that keeps audiences rolling in the aisles when they're not humming along to some of the great nostalgic hits of the 50s. A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum

Broadway's greatest farce is light, fast-paced, witty, and one of the funniest musicals ever written. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum was the first Broadway production to boast music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and gave modern audiences a taste of what once convulsed ancient Roman audiences. A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum one of the easiest musicals to mount and allows actors to shine with its unforgettable zany characters.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a lively interpretation of the biblical story of Joseph of Canaa; this is charming story of the charismatic Joseph, his devoted father, his jealous brothers and his incredible series of adventures is filled with youthful energy. Little Shop of Horrors

For years now Little Shop of Horrors has made audiences scream with laughter. Now it’s easier than ever to mount this crowd-pleaser. In addition to the costumes, Production Services gives you scenic items like the Mushnik and Son Florists sign and the full set of four Audrey II puppets. The Pirates of Penzance

The Pirates Of Penzance spin a hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers, dewy-eyed daughters and an eccentric Major-General. Gilbert's unique tongue-twisting patter is set to Sullivan’s most brilliant score of soaring melodies including The Modern Major General, Poor Wandering One, I am a Pirate King, Here’s a First Rate Opportunity and A Policeman’s Lot is Not a Happy One. Rental Policies and Terms

1. All costumes will be kept in a dry, safe and secure location at all times.
2. All costumes will be returned in the same conditions they were when they left Production Services' facilities.
3. All shipping arrangements must be made and paid for by the Lessee.
4. Costumes may be altered as long as they are returned to their original condition. Costumes may not be dyed, painted, glued or cut without the written permission of Production Services.
5. Unused costumes can be returned within one week without a rental charge assessed.
6. All costumes must be returned laundered or professionally dry cleaned (as is appropriate for the garment).
7. A fifty percent (50%) deposit must be received in full prior rental.
8. Lessee agrees to pay replacement value for costumes that are lost, damaged, or modified without Production Services' consent.
9. A late fee of five dollars ($5.00) per costume, per day will be assessed for costumes that are not returned by the return date.
10. All rental requests must be made in writing on the appropriate rental application form a minimum of one (1) month prior to the rental, a fifty percent (50%) deposit received and will only be considered valid upon receipt of written confirmation of the rental by Production Services.
11. The Lessee and any employees or associates use these items at their own risk and must indemnify and hold harmless Utah Shakespearean Festival, Southern Utah University, its Board of Trustees, the individual members thereof, its employees, agents, contractors, management and staff, officers and directors from any and all claims, losses, damages, liens, liabilities, injuries, deaths, lawsuits and other proceedings, judgments and awards, and costs and expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees and costs) or any other expenses asserted against or suffered by said persons or entities resulting from or arising out of any negligence, misconduct or non-compliance with any items rented or applicable laws, ordinances, codes or permit requirements.
12. Neither Southern Utah University or the Utah Shakespearean Festival will be responsible or liable for any legal action taken against the Lessee if they do not procure the rights to perform the production.
