Rental Information

General Information

Forty plus years of award-winning productions, the Utah Shakespearean Festival has an increasing inventory that Production Services is proud to announce the availablity of props costumes, scenery, lighting, audio and even Audrey II for rental to other performing companies . All rental requests must be made in writing on the appropriate rental application form a minimum of one (1) month prior to the rental, a fifty percent (50%) deposit received and will only be considered valid upon receipt of written confirmation of the rental by Production Services. In the event that a item is requested by more than one company, rental requests will be honored in the order received. Rental Rates

Rental rates vary based on the individual item(s) and the length of the rental. In addition to the rental fee the Lessee is responsible for insuring and transporting the item(s). For specific rental rates please contact us.

Non-Binding Hold

Production Services is happy to place a non-binding hold on any item(s) for your dates without charge. All requests for holds must be made in writing on the appropriate rental application form. In the event that a hold is requested by more than one company then they will be honored in the order received. The hold will remain in place for 30 days or until canceled, in writing, by your company. After the 30-day period a rental agreement must be signed and deposit received or the item(s) will be released for other potential renters. Production Services will continue to actively market any item(s) during the hold period. When a second company requests a hold on the same item(s) during an overlapping time period you will be notified and asked to complete a rental agreement and pay the deposit or your hold will be released.

General Rental Policies and Terms

Below are some general rental policies and terms. More specific policies are located on the approiate pages of the item(s) that you are renting. Lessee is responisible for adhering to all policies when renting a item(s).

  1. All item(s) will be kept in a safe and secure location at all times.
  2. All item(s) will be returned in the same conditions they were when they left Production Services' facilities.
  3. All shipping arrangements must be made and paid for by the Lessee.
  4. NO alterations of any kind are permitted!
  5. Lessee agrees to pay replacement value or repair cost for any item(s) that is damaged, or modified without Production Services' consent. Production Services personnel will decide whether items are repairable or not.
  6. All rental requests must be made in writing on the appropriate rental application form a minimum of one (1) month prior to the rental, a fifty percent (50%) deposit received and will only be considered valid upon receipt of written confirmation of the rental by Production Services.
  7. The Lessee and any employees or associates use these items at their own risk and must indemnify and hold harmless Utah Shakespearean Festival, Southern Utah University, its Board of Trustees, the individual members thereof, its employees, agents, contractors, management and staff, officers and directors from any and all claims, losses, damages, liens, liabilities, injuries, deaths, lawsuits and other proceedings, judgments and awards, and costs and expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees and costs) or any other expenses asserted against or suffered by said persons or entities resulting from or arising out of any negligence, misconduct or non-compliance with any items rented or applicable laws, ordinances, codes or permit requirements.
  8. Neither Southern Utah University or the Utah Shakespearean Festival will be responsible or liable for any legal action taken against the Lessee if they do not procure the rights to perform the production.
